Sorry this is the only photo I took; a real quick point and shoot shot. This is the sidewalk on 17th avenue. ( I will get some more tomorrow -maybe)

It will be nothing like the disaster that was New Orleans. Most of us ( not all) will be merely inconvenienced and get a day off. (The City evacuated most of downtown including the Club I work at)

No animals are in jail, yet! Here is the Calgary Zoo Twitter if you would like to keep up to date.

Hadn't heard of this down under ... but then I'm, not seeing much TV or news lately. Hope all's well JAS.

I like the processing ... this is what I call a lemonade shot. You took a lemon of a scene and made it palatable.

The Club is in the evacuated zone, just barely but the electric was shut off, hence we have been closed the last two days. My camera is there so all of these are P&S shots, which is just fine anyway. The sun finally came out so I went for a bit of a walk. Right now it is major clean up time. The entire downtown area was shut down to traffic. A few shots from my walk down to the Center Street Bridge. Nothing too dramatic here compared to other shots you will see.

This is an underpass on Macleod Trail near downtown, one of the major roads in the City.

Lower level of the Center Street Bridge. The river is almost at bridge level. The sign is a bit of an understatement, I would say.

A really old and already beat up building that was chuck full of some serious junk.I am not sure if this is a junk store or someone with hoarding issues. Anyway, the water at some point had flooded the whole area leaving behind a thick layer of silt.

Yes! I remember that M.A.! There are neighbourhoods that were completely flooded and the town of High River in particular had some serious flooding including their entire downtown area. I just stuck to my own area more or less and tried to stay out of the way so to speak.
