Sold everything, the whole kit and Kaboodle, to one individual from the city. Now what???? Having lots of fun lookin' round and comparing, lots of reading also. Decisions, decisions .
btw, have never been a fangirl of any brand, so they are ALL fair game to me. I always pick the best tool for the job for my preference in shooting subjects/style.

That is def our lives, but makes for interesting/exciting times.
Of our last two moves, the first, I readily purchased a farm, sight unseen, approx. 700+km's north from where we were residing, we both quit our well paying jobs and headed into the new digs in northeastern ontario. Only spent a couple years there and then a real estate agent actually "called us" to see if we were interested in selling, as she had a young couple really hot to look at our place because they fell in love with it on a drive-by. Thought, what the heck, put a price on it and BAM, sold in two hrs to them. . Now at this point we had three months to find a place to live. SO, we uprooted and headed to Muskoka, jobless, and homeless "AGAIN". We rented for awhile, and looked at properties for a couple months. Could NOT find what we were looking for so we decided to build on our recreation property we had purchased prior to this, and so, here we are. Way back in the bush, livin' off the grid, and yes there is cell service, but very sketchy at best. So I guess you could say this is a "minor" decision compared to the past few.

Hubby was reading this and ran and took this pic while hollerin' out the window. "Ordering a pizza from town with them smoke signals are ya"?

Well may have to change my sig yet. Don't know what all you Nikon folk's think, but looking at a D750 for low light/action, and a D810 for landscape in bodies along with Sigma 150-600 Sport, and a 24-70, along with a 70-200 f2.8 would be a nice starter kit.

It will be interesting to see you get Nikonized. I have the D800 and it's a sweet camera, 36 mp gives you lots of cropping room. I love the Df for its low light ability as it uses the D4 sensor. You can't go wrong with the 24-70 or the 70-200mm, awesome lenses

Ha! Ha! Welcome to the Dark Side. Apparently, we have Nikons:

And woah, Ken Rockwell can not get anymore excited than this:
    Nikon D810 Review

I know I love my D800 and apparently the D810 leaves it in the dust.

Still haven't totally "Committed" to any brand yet, but looks like may be the Nikons. Haven't physically handled them, but a tool is a tool, just have to learn the menus is all.

Love that Dark Side pic JAS. As for Ken Rockwell, I take anything he says with a HUGE grain of salt. He gushes and goes on and on like it's the "Second Coming", almost sickening to read really. I know it is an awesome camera, but can't stomach his reviews much.

OH Nooooo. Say it isn't so. She isn't really going to the dark side. Oh well, understandable as Canon hasn't exactly been exiting photographers with their innovation (or lack of it)

Actually, I'm seriously considering going to the other dark side. Micro four-thirds. More about this in a separate post.
