    Default Chips you say

I have resisted any kind of electronic chip in anything, Drivers License, bank card etc. Why you ask? Just a silly notion that the more I stay off the grid the better. A predictable man is easy pray! Having said all that, I just got an email from a like minded friend containing the link to a build it yourself Chip reader using radio shack parts for under twenty dollars. If you can get the antenna of this device within one foot of a chip, it will read its entire contents! Billy is working hard in his Moms basement again it seems. Posting the link seems like a bad idea (Ma might be watching) This guy lists all the parts you need and full schematics. So what are the benefits of these chips again?

A security guy I follow (podcast) recommends microwaving your chip enabled credit cards for about 15 seconds to nuke the chip but leave the card working just because they are so easy to read as you walk by.
