Basically can't turn my head too fast or get out of bed without the whole room tilting 90 degrees. Had it when I hit my head a while back but this came outta the blue while I was asleep.
Sucks big time...how do I make it go away?

vertigo can be from lots of causes. the most likely being from an inner ear infection. It can also be low blood sugar. The first thing is to go to the doctor and if it persists and ENT.

Yes!!!! I got nailed in the head playing softball (thankgod it wasn't a fast pitch) and it damanged something in my ear. I was like that for two weeks.. to make it worse..I was two months preggers and couldn't take anything for it :(

I'd take a trip to the clinic and get it checked out.

Apparently it's called benign postural vertigo....I went to class and one my instructors worked on getting rid of it for me...I'm so glad I'm in a therapy class...but wow I have never seen a room spin like it did today.Thank gawd my stomach was empty or I would have hurled for certain! Apparently it has something to do with crystals in my inner ear that have been dislodged and are floating around inside my head sending conflicting messages to my brain....I'm not allowed to bend my head or sleep laying down flat for 3 days until the dam ear bits move back where they are supposed to be!

yes that is one possibility but I would not have an instructor diagnosis it unless he/she had the appropriate equipment and ruled out other factors. typically this type is more common in the elderly and should not have this sudden onset.

I still recommend a ear nose and throat doctor take a look.
