    Default Calgary April Shnowers

Ok it's blizzard conditions outside right now...a few hours ago...warm and sunny....now lights keep flickring and TV is kaput.
Btw...throw in high winds and thunder....I swear I have to find the tin foil hat now......!

Here's the proof in the pudding taken less than 10 min outside my living room window... notice the Calgary tower to the right...at least what you can barely see of it!

It's the power outages that are driving me nuts, I have a UPS, but still it drives me nuts all the lights going out.

Have they declared a snow day for tomorrow yet. That would be dandy. I still love Calgary. The wait 5 minutes part...
    Keep warm.

Gawd these flickering lights are making me nuts!! I keep thinking it's my eyes!!
Here's a shot of the incoming storm taken a couple of hours prior to the snow:

A half an hour earlier it was beautiful blue sky and sunny.....and then the wind picked up and this came and turned into the first photo.

I'm farther south, so not quite so cold here (yet - that may change tonight. It'll definitely be below freezing), but the wind was so hard when I got to work this morning that the tip of one of the flags for the apartment complex next door had caught in the lanyard of the pole for the flag next to it. Both poles were thrashing pretty hard, and I had to wonder if they'd go down before the end of the day. (They hadn't when I left)
