    My gosh this is SCARY.

Don't "we the people" pay for the friggen police? Aren't they acting on the public's behalf? All they have to do is act professional and they will never be embarrassed when they are recorded. half the bloody news is people getting arrested.

this is getting stooooopid.... and it's only because they are going after small potatoes.

I'd LOVE them to arrest a well know reporter or cameraman working for the 'real' news while they tape an arrest. That's a cockfight worth watching. When the full brunt of civil liberties lawyers crawl (paid for by the MEDIA) so far up their throats that they are unable to speak, maybe then some of this will change.

This just really rings a bad tone. SOo if they video tape in public,it can be used as evidence...

This just ticks me off. What about the Rodney King beating...? Thank goodness it was recorded.

when the police are no longer answerable for their actions but can arrest anyone who is observing them then we are not far from a police state.

To hell in a handbasket, that's where we are heading. Yes, it is totally insane to make taking pictures of law enforcement people illegal. Reminds me of a totalitarian regime. I wonder if Canada will adopt legislation like this as well, would be interesting to see. I suppose that is why our planned action for August is so important. The public must be informed that photography is not a crime.
