    Iggy, just a thought.

Does your camera have an iso overide setting?

My D5000 has it as a default even in full manual. Had to turn this setting off, in order to get rid of the high iso settings I was getting from the camera and that was adding unwanted noise to my shots.

Not sure I completely understand the feature you are talking about but I have the "High ISO Speed Noise Reduction" set already to reduce noise as much as possible. If you were suggesting an automatic setting to keep the camera from selecting a high ISO value while in aperture or shutter priority then it wouldn't help, the ISO setting of 1600 was chosen by me not the camera. I needed it for the conditions I was shooting in.

Really likin' this one Iggy. Love the contrast of emotions from the subjects in front of posters to the emotion in the posters. Very well captured.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Great capture Iggy. Love the composition. It's amost like you positioned the the two men in just the right spot.

Also Iggy, I think I recall you have the same camera as me, Rebel XSi (correct me if I'm wrong). I don't think that there is any way of shooting at an ISO above 1600. With the noise at 1600 on that camera, I'm not sure you would want to even if there was a way.

Thanks. Yes, I am shooting with the XSi and I kind of thought 1600 was the limit and yes, though I've had a few other expenses lately, my next camera purchase will likely be a new body... hopefully, an upgrade. My daughter has taken up quite an interest in photography and I'd like to give her mine when I upgrade.
