Thanks, Bambi! I actually caught the ball in the air twice. I will post a couple more when I have a chance.
I like this but I'd love to see a 'straighter' version... perhaps of the other air shot you caught (pretty please lol...I dig pool - what can I say)

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
Hi Marko, the above is a crop from a wider shot mostly to show the ball. I pretty much had to use ISO 800 because the place is quite large, not bright and surrounded in dark wood. so to me the shots all look noisy. This shot which is full size has been put in Viveza then in define to try and tone down the noise but no crazy processing. The pool table, btw is a smaller one brought in just for this.

Interesting crowd for the pool hall![]()
I like the painterly effect, except for what it's done to his hand. That's pretty gross![]()
Great stuff, JAS; shame it is a gentleman's club only - I can see some nice images with a hustler in those surroundings. The treatment is also very nice, JAS, but maybe a bit on the "timid" side? For my taste I like to go as close to the edge as possible without totally destroying the original - so I tend to over process.

I didn't mind the painterly shot as an 'image' because it reminded me of the dogs playing poker image![]()
Nice. I used to play billiards way back. Most tourneys I played in there was/is a dress code and so forth, always loved dressing up and playing.
Great shots! Love watching the trick shots.

Love that processing on that 1st shot Jas, really fits the scene for sure. Nicely done.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
