Very clever - You framed it in a way that tells a story - fab thinking!
If you wanted to go radical on the image's shape, 1-3 inches off the left turns this into a longer rectangle - might also work well. (My bad on all the cropping comments today Matt).

Hey, this is how we learn, by comments from the peers. And I agree, will have to try it tonight and see how i can elongate it ....

I don`t like this crop version. It is to much. You have loose all atmosphere from original which show relationship between player and old lady. Something what they have - intimacy and I feel like intruder in cropped version.

For me, this is a much stronger story. I prefer this to the original.
I do hear what other members are saying though - maybe the crop could go halfway between this version and the original. I dig it big time though - again lovely storytelling.

I have to say that I also prefer the "framed" version. It does seem to be more balanced ... i guess beauty is in the eye of the beer holder ... and just to clarify: that is a guy sitting on the bench, not a lady ... then again, this is Vancouver Island ....

Very nice Matt. Really like the cropped version for reasons such as Marko has already said. Only have to say that just a tad less taken off would have worked better, imo.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
