    Default Trash the Dress (2012)

My photo club recently held an event called the Trash the Dress. The idea is that you get a bunch of young ladies to put on wedding dresses and trash them by wearing them in environments where they can get torn and ripped. The classic scene is to set the dress on fire at the end of the shoot. That particular fad is getting a bit overdone so it really just turned into a bit of a model shoot for us so I thought I'd start a thread to show some results from Sunday's outing. Critique's are welcomed. I'm still learning portrait work so hints and tips are helpful.

I really like shot 2 here iggy - very striking girl with striking eyes. The use of the fence in this way is pretty interesting and leads us toward the model.

[QUOTE=Iguanasan;127209] I'm still learning portrait work

If that is the case I cant wait for future shots as I really like all of these. Poses, light and composition all work for me.

This is an area where I have no experience, so cant add much of a critique. Something I remember from an earlier post on this forum (I think it was Vyeko from memory) was a suggestion in processing to pass over the eyes a white brush set to "vivid light" and opacity 8-10%. I have found this can give eyes some more sparkle, and may be worth trying for the second shot.

    REALLY like these though Iggy

Really nice set.Bethany is my fav. Runmonty say what I use for eyes to stand more out.Very close but not exactly.
Soft brush on vivid mode with 3% opacity. More then 3% is too much. But this can be used for anything because this pull midtones out.
Can be used many time over the same place to slowly build effect.

Thanks, AL and vyeko. I'm going to have to give it a try. Thanks for mentioning it, Runmonty.
