    Default Tour Down Under

The Tour Down Under is a week long cycling race held here in Adelaide and is the first race of the year in the UCI WorldTour. It is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, and attracts the world's best riders and an estimated 757,000 spectators (over the whole week).

Here are a couple of shots from yesterday's final leg. The average speed for the race is approx 45-50 kmh and this was one of the straighter parts of the circuit, so I am guessing they are probably travelling at appox 55-60 kmh at this point.

Nice set RM - I really like the first 2 where you can see them packed in.

Shot one for me as well. I like how 2 shows how packed in they are, however that fact does tend to make it just a tad busy to me.

Nice shots RM. As a keen cyclist I am jealous, and I'd love to have been there...maybe next year.

Thank you all for your comments. The first is my favourite too.

You would love it Antz. For the entire week the city is taken over by cyclists (I am sick and tired of seeing of lycra), and there is also the public ride where anyone can ride the course of one of the legs (or part thereof).

Excellent work on all three, but really likin' #1. The symmetry of the repetitive patterns is perfect.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
