    AT - Thanks for the suggestion. I think for that shot I was shooting between two people's heads in front of me. I was worried more about getting the shot than the background.

    Missy - Flash is something I just haven't been using, but I should try it for these kind of pictures. Mind you I'm not sure if the pop-up flash would generally work that far away and walking around with an external flash is much more bulky. However I should give it a try to see.

    Jim - News photo work is still a work in progress for me. Thanks for the encouragement.

    Nice set asnow. You have captured the real feel of the people in and watching the parade. I need to be careful with my wording but I am drawn to the subtlety of the shot the guy walking away with the apron, as he is in such contrast to those around him. The expression in the first shot is great.
