Fun capture. Was any fill flash used? The clouds seem a little over exposed to me and I thought maybe a tad of fill from the front may have let you get the clouds down a bit. Nice shot as it is though

I didn't use the flash I tried to correct it in Photoshop. I had to ask my wife for help with color. The original was a lot brighter and the sky was blown out.
This was also a day after I had bought the 50D and I was anxious to play with it.

That would have been a tough shot to get right anyway! Fun photo.

Excellent post work, I would only suggest a tighter crop to lose the blue sky at the top and keep the entire sky blown. I think it's a great shot really worthy of a tweak here and there to bring it home. May I post my crop idea for further consideration?

This is how I would crop it because I was finding the blue at the top distracting. As I said it's a really great shot in my books.

maybe you could add some sky since this shot cannot be duplicated and you really like this photo. the background of the trees is white so i think it should easy to add a different sky.

I will try to add some sky to it later on today. Thanks for the input.
