The main winter sport in my part of Australia is Australian Rules Football, sometimes called AFL (after the league name being Australian Football League). We just call it football or footy.

The new season starts in 2 weeks time

The 2 professional teams in my city are the Adelaide "Crows" and Port Adelaide "Power". There is an intense rivalry between these teams and the city is divided when they play each other. Last week I went out to an under 23s practice game getting ready for the season ahead. Here are a few shots from the game.

Really good action shots RM. Perfectly timed shooting. My favorite is the one showing the action with the scoreboard in the background. It tells the best story. Looks like the men of Australia are a bit tougher than American men.... they don't ware all the protective gear. very nice set.
