Last weekend we drove 4 1/2 hrs north west of home to shoot a 6hr mountain bike event up there. Here's just few of the 1200+ photos we kept from the weekends work ...

Love that first photo! Looks like a wonderful start to the day!!!

The bike photos are wonderful! My son is freaking out here with them (he loves bikes and crashes!). Hope that one fellow was fine after his crash! I think my fav is #5 in post 1. With #2 post 2 close behind.

I got a sequence of that guy falling onto the rock and THEN helped him up A good photographer always gets the shots first ... then helps.
He had a huge bruise on his shoulder but seemed ok and not rattled by the fall. I learnt later that he was Tim from a local bike shop here in Brisbane, and is actually one of our clients. He buys banners off us on our mountain bike website. I'd never actually met him before. I emailed him a couple of days ago and he's fine.

That girl in pink on the wooden bridge took a tumble not far from me also. It was just before the cool little valley section where you swing up the banks around the trees. She went down quite hard. Two riders who saw this asked if she was ok and were told she was fine. But after about 5 minutes she was still standing beside the track working on her bike and some riders were getting frustrated at finding this obstruction to their lean in of the turn. I decided I had enough photos for the day and she could do with my help regardless of her telling others several times she was ok. I grabbed my bike and gear walked back up the hill to her and my help to get her handlebars and brakes sorted was gratefully accepted. She'd taken a bit of bang on the face and head and was still a bit shocked from it all. Hands still shaking. I kept her there for a few minutes and chatted for awhile until she settled some more and then I followed her in to camp. She's not slow I have to say! And a few hundred meters down the track launched off a small dip. She'll be fine

There were a few spills ... I picked up a small boy who had crashed in the middle of nowhere and was crying and tangled in his bike in the kids race also. Another women slipped over and slid into me on a steep little descent and I saw a few crashes just out of shot on loose corners as well.

Thank you. I do using panning as well but at this race I had my wife doing that.
