Default AntZ gets Insomnia for a day

I just spent the weekend shooting a 24hr MTB race called the 'Insomnia 24hr'

Photography.ca's own AntZ was racing in the event in a 2 person team (take a bow AntZ) and I thought you might like to see his smiling face doing about the only thing he enjoys more than photography ... with his pants on at least

Here's our champ flat jumping a small jump on his first lap for the day ...

Here's our man much later in the day tackling a water crossing ...

And here he is at about the 22hr mark of the race ... dog tired, too stuffed to talk ... but managed to crack a smile just the same ...

Good job AntZ! You make me glad I gave that crap up

Thanks MA. Great shots. I think the only times I smiled was when I saw you guys because that was a fairly tough race and the wettest I have ever done. My bike wasn't running well even from lap 1. Good result for us, especially given the guys who came first are literally world class riders.

Thanks everyone. I didn't realize you guys placed AntZ ... nice work indeed.

I should mention that the 4th shot in post 2 was taken by my wife ... she is learning so fast. AND ... the 3rd shot (taken by me) is the same rider at the same moment pretty much. Two different views. We got loads like that actually.

Thanks also Michael ... the flash work is my ace in the hole. Most photographers doing this around here don't use flash ... when my flash doesn't fire ... I usually throw the photo away.

Yep,2nd 2 years in a row. Last year beaten by a mechanical, this year beaten by 2 awesome riders way out of my league.

...and volume, you guys are taking heaps of pics. I hope everyone is appreciating that(with their wallets). Riders are lucky at some events shot by others to see even one decent shot of themselves, but you guys are getting 3 or more of every rider and covering the whole course.

Standing out from the crowd is the only way to make the limited amount of money we do get from these.
