My long arm

This is a discussion on My long arm within the People photography (portraits, sports etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; Old and Wrinkley??? I must have uploaded the wrong freaking file! I've seen 54 year old dudes look a lot ...

IMHO it's an excellent self-portrait and apparently an excellent lens!

Thanks...Bought the lens a few months ago as a sort of addition to the arsenal if you will but have not really taken it seriously. Now that my beloved 70-300mm is in for repair, I may get to know this lens a little better. I'm seeing more evidence that a 50mm makes a good portrait lens and I think this fast shot attests to that. So yes, I think I'll probably go portrait crazy next and see where that goes. I like this shot because it's how I like to see portraits, realistic and in your face, cropped to a point of interest. I got lucky here

I must now challenge you to a duel sir!

You must photograph your face (or said face) and plaster it up here using only a window for light and absolutely no makeup people on set! Well

You took this without makeup this time huh?

No way I'm shooting my face up close ... I'm uglier than you even when you are wearing your makeup and lacy outfits!!

Yes ... I'm glad you stopped hounding me to buy them too. I'm glad my wife finally got through to you that your dress sense and colour coordination is appalling!
