Here you go, Mad Aussie. Certainly can't argue with the fact that there is a stronger narrative aspect to this version.
I must remember that I am posting to a new audience. After a time we begin to take visual shortcuts with those who know our work, for better or worse. Bad habit. Same as posting solely to Flickr. It makes you lazy. Perhaps another good reason to be here and re/gaining perspective.

Personally. I wish I had stretched on the other shot now, so that there was a little more info available, as in this version. This shot is not as strong, does not have the same tension. I rather prefer that in a shot almost every time.

I think Ma is onto something with wanting to show more of the environment.

Just as an FYI - our critiques in general are rarely harsh and usually very constructive. You'll get much better feedback (if that's what you are after) by posting it there in the critique forum.

Oh yeh! Put a photo in the critiques section and we will go out of our way to find anything and everything that we think (our opinion only of course) that could have been done better

Being such a small size I think lessens the impact of the photo but it does answer some of my questions. I know she's a busker now. I know where her other glove is! I know she's sitting on her butt on the street also.

If that's an Aligator skin guitar case then she's does very well out of this!

You probably should have just put this into the other thread so people seeing this for the first time can understand what we are comparing it to. Marko could merge the two threads if you wanted.

As far as giving more info via including more environment, that depends on what you want to portray I guess. Leaving us asking questions can sometimes be a tantalising strategy.

I couldn't agree more with what MA said. The second picture definitely gives us more information about what's going on, but I am definitely more drawn to the first one--it makes you wonder a bit about the circumstances of the shot.
