    Nicely done! Colour is great, DOF looks good, lighting and exposure is very nice. I know it's not the critique section but I just have to say that the only reason I didn't nominate this shot is the composition. Too much foreground and you cut off the ump's head. Other than that it's a great shot!

    Wow!! I appreciate the good words. I'm ticked off about the top of that shot, I have no friggin idea what I was thinking. I love TRYING to shoots sports but I find it very difficult, esp if you like sports because it's hard to be a fan and always be ready with the camera.
    I'm honored that you even thought something I did was close to worthy.

    Just telling it like it is. I'm thinking it's early evening with the long shadows which gave you some great light. You caught the action nicely though the focus is a bit off. Just not quite framed right. Keep it up and it'll get easier. I have heard that to be good at something you have to do it for 10,000 hours. Not really sure if it's true or not but it certainly seems like it
