    I chose this photo because to me, it sums up the older attitude of Nova Scotians: it's not dead until it's dead. If you have a shack and it's leaning prop it up with a 2 x 4 wedged against a stump and it will be good a few more decades. I loved how the shed is actually bending around the board.

    Come on, now, Bambi. A 2 x 4 would only have lasted a couple of years. The 2 x 8 that they are using there will definitely last a couple of extra decades. I mean, it's twice as strong, eh?

    Kat. Nice shot there. The colors are great and the light on the moss on that tree neat. When I look at this pic I can can see it poster-sized on my rec room wall.

    this relentless rain has made it difficult to get out and take pictures. But this is one I took on Oct 31 so I'm putting it in. It's a shot of a lobster boat at anchor in a harbour. I processed it this way as I believe that it shows how close we are to the past in NS. Traditional industries in NS are fishing and logging.
