Default November 2012 photography assignment - Squares

    Hi members!

Got any ideas for the regular and level 2 assignments this month?

    Thx!

winter is approaching us the temp is dropping so what about cold or cool. does not have to be due to the temp but could be more cool tones in the photo or something like that.

For the Level 1 assignment, I think we should move to squares. We did circles and triangles... squares seems the next logical step.

For the Level 2 assignment I'd like to get a bit more creative. Maybe creative use of flash? That could work even if it's built-in flash. The idea is to be creative.

Another option might be less technical and I might suggest: solitude.

    I like Iggy's ideas

    Level 1 - Squares
    Level 2 - Solitude

Feel free to support any of the ideas posted or suggest new ideas.

Whatever gets the most support by tomorrow becomes this month's challenge.
    thx!

I like both of iggys ideas!

Ok we just did this one in another forum...maybe an assignment 2 subject:
"Vanishing Point Perspective" taking a shot where a bridge, road fence etc. looks infinitely long...
    For level one..what about clouds?
Just a couple more thoughts I'd toss in.

Iggy's ideas have the most support so they are this month's assignment. thx for the suggestions!

    Hi members!

Suggestion posts merged and the regular assignment this month is Squares. (The level 2 assignment is here)

This thread though is for Square submissions.

Ok then who will post first?

Looks like I am first this month. This is an old cabinet that used to hold instruments for a weather station.

That cabinet looks like it's seen some hard use, Runmonty.

Nice find RM, and love the b&w choice to present this. Nice and sharp detail.
Very creative with the camo netting QO. Looks like something I could use to make a nice jute Ghillie Suit.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Dig the tones and textures Runmonty
QO - like the creativity and sharpness on the twine
LL - I like the image, but I don't think it's as easy as you say. I do not see any squares in your image - only rectangles. But we aren't that strict around here so all good and you are totally free to submit more than once.

I have to be square with you Marko, they look a lot like rectangle. I'll have an other try with Mr Robertson.

Light painted my arm to make a square... easier said than done. BTW if someone would critique this photo that would be appreciated, I'm not sure what's good or bad about it. Sort of uncertain what I think of it.
