Default August 2009 Photography Assignment - Water

Any ideas for an August assignment?

    What about "Slow"

I'm gonna throw my hat in for "movement or motion"....?

'Dog days of summer', not necessarily involving actual dogs.

Fun in the sun...shots have to have a bit of sun in it.. ha ha..just hoping to get sun people!

    How about Water????

What? Are you saying that is cloudy in Alberta ??

What do you think about : STARS.
Or night landscapes that include stars, the night sky ?

Second proposal is SUMMER'S JOY (enjoying the summer, summer festivals etc), or think about Summer by Vivaldi.

    How about playing with "colourkey"?

One thing about the summer themes I might mention is that it is also winter in the Southern Hemisphere where many members of our forum also reside.
    Just a thought to consider.....

What about the theme of "Weather"?
Or maybe "Seasons" instead of summer?

How about "free"?? You can take the term literally or figuratively. I think it could open up a whole ton of thoughts, but still requires a little effort. Just an idea.

    Rain the last month straight.....

I like "motion" and "water" so far. "Slow" also sounds intriguing, though difficult.

Fences? Or fences and gates? But that might be a cliche. Gotta go check the book.

    Unforgetable faces
    Trains, planes and automobiles
    Litter
    sisterhood/brotherhood

I like motion or water- my vote is for either one of those two.
Summer or seasons are good ideas, but maybe a little too wide open?
planes trains automobiles is also kinda cool.
If I'm gonna throw out a different one, though it might be better at another time of year, how about reflections?

    I'm for water.

Suggestion posts merged and the theme with the most support is "water" so water it is.

    Default Waterdrops

I did some experiments trying to freeze the water drops by using off camera flash. Just a very simple setup
