April 2010 - Photography assignment - Different point of view

I was sitting bored in the car and noticed the tree in the mirror. Thought this qualified as a different point of view.

thanks. just noticed the pink sky though. wth? off to fix it!!

I wanted to show the intricacies of seaweed. I hope that this belongs here but if not feel free to move it :shrug:

cool shot Bambi - would not have guessed it as seaweed.

My first impression was some alien birthing ground and that one of the little beasties chewed it's way through its pod and is on the loose.

I was obviously over at the Warhawk again.

One more try @ this, I have one photo composed in my head but the weather hasn't co-operated yet. Now, lets not get our lines crossed ;) ...

and how could I possibly forget this one! ? :confused: Hotel of the Rockies, Canmore, Alberta. Saturday evening "creativity meeting" while attending the SNAP Photography seminar being hosted by Darwin Wiggett, John Marriott & Samantha Chysanthou. Very snap shot-ish quality. Odd how that happens @ 11:00 PM & a "few" adult beverages!

Cool stuff! Russ, how was the seminar? You need a pocket corkscrew! THat one takes up too much room in the camera bag....ermm I mean backpack.

I thought it went pretty good really. The only real glitch was the oven for a hotel room on the 1st night. It was terrible, hardly slept at all. Saturday night was much better :D even with the jacuzzi tub starting up all by itself :)

Simple. Just shot from a different perspective. Critiques welcome.

Not sure if this fits this category but thought I would try this shot taken from our zodiac while exploring near Tofino, BC

Nice angle mediahaze - works for me. In terms of critique, the bright bottom right corner before the bottle catches my eye due to brightness. In terms of the product...I prefer a 99 cent 2 liter bottle of soda water over San Pellegrino. WAY better 'kick' with soda water :D

Saltair - your perspective works for me here as well...did i say I LOVE Tofino? :D

trying to catch the movement of water over rocks looking over the edge of the cliff (I laid down and peered over, making sure I had a tight grip on the camera :)).

Interesting. The light was coming in the window and ended at the edge of the table. I thought it worked well by providing a kind of halo along the leading edge of the bottle. However I see what your saying about that specific region being overly bright. Thank you.
