    Default Sea of Joy

was out and about today since the weather is damn near perfect (mid 70s F, breezy and sunny with low humidity). Went to a local Audubon center & found a couple of beautiful meadows. Was perfect even though the light wasn't the most cooperative. Still, bright sun and nothing to do except take pictures. yeah, life is tough.

I'll be heading back to this first one because the Monarch butterflies should be arriving any time now. They lay their eggs on milkweed and that's what the caterpillars eat. As far as I know it's the only thing they eat.

Anyway, I also found some black eyed susans hanging out with some other flowers. They're so sunny all by themselves, but today they were something more.

I also found a secluded little beach on the lake, but that's another post. thanks for checking it out.

Nice set WD, especially like the first one, nice composition.
Real nice crop of milkweed throughout the whole field too, should get lots of monarchs here.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Nice shots. I like the last one the best (although, the grass on the side is a bit of a distraction). The yellows turned out great

    thanks guys.

yeah, it's messy, but it's a meadow and those grassy flowers grew everywhere. I forget what they are.
