    Here's a thread we let slip by unnoticed ...


    I reckon those rocks would look very cool in a closeup shot of them.

    Funny you should say that. A macro isn't in the budget, but KEH had a bunch of closeup filter sets a couple of weeks ago. Didn't have time to research the various brands when they first were added, and as I expected, the B+W set went almost immediately. But they had a couple of sets of Hoya, and I was able to find a few places where people said they liked them, and I figured it was time to try this place out. They'll arrive Monday.

    BTW, if a macro is in somebody else's budget, I'll be more than happy to give you my mailing address....

    Well, this lens doesn't get much closer. So I guess I'll be experimenting with backing up a bit and seeing what I get.
