Matt I remember you had talked about seeing flax and canola together once in another thread but did not have your camera. I found a place that has layers of it south and east of the city.
Here's where I found it if you are interested.
Go south on highway 2 and then take the turn off at Highway 547 at Aldersyde and highway 2 and head East on 547 until you get to Mossleigh. It is about 3 or 4 km east of Mossleigh on 547. Can't miss it!

Not the best shot in the world as I had to use the zoom at 300 to get this and (I think the stabilizer was off ...hence the friggin' blur ) was in a bit of a hurry but in about a week when all the flax is in full bloom it will be a stunner. Either way you get the picture

Wow, thanks, Casil, should I have time soon I'll drive out there. This weekend is out for me, Canmore Folk Festival time ... three days of bliss (hopefully no rain ) back on Tuesday night, then off to Edmonton, then back here ... man, it never ends. And I think the next weekend is our photoclubs "treasure hunt" at Heritage Park. So by the time I might get there, the bloom may be gone frigg!
