    Absolutely beautiful though the snow is a strange but wonderful pink. I love the pastel feel of this image though. Nice work!

    That happens in alpine areas at sunrise, Iggy. Very nice image, indeed.

    yep... it's called "alpenglow", and it occurs at sunrise and sunset, but only lasts a few minutes when the edge of the sun is just barely above the horizon... once the sun is fully up or down, it disappears.
