Default Lake Louise - Part I

Lake Louise is a 2 hour drive out of Calgary, situated in Banff National Park. I was planning to hike to a spot called Plain of the Six Glaciers. The route starts at the lake and ends, after a mostly uphill climb, at a spot where six glaciers converge. There are many beautiful photo ops, and the light changes all the time. I was lucky to encounter good weather.
When I first arrived there was a thick mist on the lake.

    The mist eventually burned off.

Wow ... that kayak really puts that cliff into perspective! What a spectacular location. I've heard of this lake. Beautiful water colour too.

I missed this set! Love the soft misty atmosphere in these. Aussie, I believe the colour in the lakes comes from the glacial silt. The last photo is very dramatic for sure!

Awesome set! Such a beautiful place. MA is right about the last one. That kayak really shows perspective.
