    shot 1 (by far actually). Shot 2 feels like there's too much whitespace (due to brightness). For me this detracts from the overall composition.

    Hey thanks Marko. I am still partial to No. 2 though ! I guess if we all liked the same things life would be very dull ! How are you liking your D700.
    I have studied the manual often and I still cannot find if you can, or how to change the jpeg setting,to say increase sharpness or saturation like I could on the Canon 40D. Do you know of any user adjustments for jpeg ? thanks - jimmy

    I spend too much of my time cloning out those pesky birds CS5 randomly places in my images, I'm gonna leave em in like you do from now on!
