    Default Peak District

I've been sitting on these shots since the start of the month as I can't make up my mind on them.

This is the sort of winding roads that link up places across the peaks

I wish I had focused more on the industrial buildings in this shot, I should have placed them on the right of the frame so the smoke travelled across the frame.

Even with HDR the sky is a little flat due to the on coming fog.

This shot cause me the most trouble and now I'm not sure if I've over processed it.

Wonderful photos. The second is my favorite of the group. Drives me crazy also after I process a photo and all I say is I wish I had done this or that. Now I take way too many of the same spot, but at least I get a choice.

i quite like the moodiness of shot 4! It's just a bit soft for me. Was it 60K before the upload richard? were you on a tripod?
    Thx! marko

Thanks for your comments corporallouis and Marko,

Like I said it was a while since I took this, I definitely didn't have my main tripod with me, but I think I put my trusty joby down on the ground. My wife normally objects when I take her out for a walk and then insist on bringing a lot of gear with me, normally If I know It's a good landscape area, I'll stick with the kit lens 18-55, a polorising filter in a small camera bag, and then wrap the gorilla pod around the strap.

I used my CA forum pre-set lightroom export, which reduced this file to 60K, I think it's so small because It's set to reduce the long edge to 800 pixels @ 60%, and this is a letter box crop

However looking at the full image It is a bit soft, with the focus being about a third of the way into the shot. It was pretty windy up there so there was quite a lot of movement in the foreground, and I wouldn't be surprised if the camera moved a fraction during the exposure. I'll have to remember to compensate with the ISO next time to get a fast shutter speed.
