it's a small little fishing village just past Blue Rocks NS. it used to be off the beaten track and quite cheap to buy property there. However, now it's caught on and has become pricey. To get this shot I had to make my way down an embankment and shoot through some trees.
then Iggy suggested that I try sepia so here's that one:

The bottom left and upper right corners have distractions (bottom left is more distracting though) which seem reduced in the sepia version, so that's my choice. Cool image!

I prefer the color because it isolates the major elements of the photo better than the sepia. With that one I need to hunt a bit to decide how to view the photo as a whole...nothing leads me through. And I don't mind the OOF leaves and branches in either.

I'm with marko for the distractions but i like the color for the reason you can see everything. If you can get back there with another person to help move the branches back I would go back in a heatr beat!!!

I too like the separation the colour gives the photo. I'm somewhat surprised a building of that nature is still there afterh your recent storms.

Bambi. I hope you don't mind, I tried correcting the flare on the bottom left using Photoshop CS5 content aware fill for you so it is not as distracting. It's not perfect but better. Tried the top right distraction but it didn't work out at all.

If I could I would send you Photoshop CS5. I don't even have a licensed copy myself. I'm just using a trial version right now. I had downloaded the trial so I could test the content aware fill. Your picture was a good test. I wish I had the $700 to actually purchase it.
