    Default Bancroft

If you have ever been in Bancroft you would have noticed the sheer cliffs overhanging the shops below on hwy 62. At the very top is what is know as the egles nest lookout. Sadley at this time of year they don't plow the road to the top. It might be a good thing actually as there are no barriers to stop you from slipping off the cliffs.

Wow..those are some ice falls! Do Ice Climbers ever get up there? That would make for some neat people shots if they did!
Looks like a really interesting place to take shots Robert.

There is a road up the backside thats accessible only in the spring summer and fall where you can reacj the observation platform. In the past some people have climbed the icy cliffs and was actually posted in the Bancroft times a few years back.

Cool scenery to be sure!! You might want to check whatever software you use to export your images and try to get them below 250KB. It looks like the board software is compressing them a bit and making them look soft.

Thanks Iggy, I'm using picasa to add the watermark which also compresses them to 800 pixels I also had the file set to automatic. What pixel size works best for this board? Or if i knew how to do this in photoshop elements (7) i would do that instaed.

Yeah, Picasa is good, I use it myself. I generally do 800 pixels as well, however, if I leave the quality on "Automatic" it almost always ends up being larger than 250KB. The last shot of yours, ice falls 2.jpg, is only 96KB which I think is making it look kind of soft. When I look at meta data using Irfanview the EXIF information is missing and the comment field says "CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 75". You might want to check your settings in Photoshop Elements when you save the file after editing. Maybe that's where the softness is creeping in? I'd love to somehow see the original for these.
