    Default Gibson daisies

Took this near the Pike Place Market in Seattle. The light was just right so I snapped off a quick one without thinking about it. This is a straight out of the camera jpeg, before I switched to RAW. Since then, I've looked at how I could have cropped the initial image better had I been thinking. The colours of the flowers really vibrated for me. And I do think that's a tomato plant to the left, something I didn't realize until I got home and loaded it up.

The colour and light on those flowers is very vibrant.

I would agree, great light quality on the flowers at center.

This is another of my flower images that some of my friends in the comic-art industry use as a color palette. Took it the same day as the Gibson daisies. It came straight out of the camera as a jpg (this was before I started shooting RAW exclusively) with no postprod. The signage at the upper right was a price tag on a stick. In retrospect, composition should have been more carefully considered. The sun was coming at just the best angle, lighting up the yellows, though.

Really like that first one. Nice tones and colour.
