Idaho's not usually that ferociously cold, though it depends on which winter.

Love that shot #2 QO, but have to say I am very drawn to the lines in #3. It almost looks like a glacial movement sheet of ice.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Thanks, HBG, the lines attract me, too. The skim of water in that spot has done that the last couple of years. I'm still trying to get the balance of correcting the color without disrupting the interesting texture of the snow and the bands. Maybe I'll get another chance next winter.
