    Default weekend at the lake

My family always goes camping may and Sept long weekend at a place called Hotel Lake on the sunshine coast. Heres a couple from last weekend.

I'll call u Lucky....Lucky to be alive that is...my brother found this little baby western painted turtle an inch from our trailer tire as we were parking it.

While I was out taking photos, someone drove by and told me there was a bear up the hill, so I hiked up there (all alone) to get some pics ( stupid I know!!!)

    A little frog I found

The loons only came out in the late evening when it was getting dark, but there calls were awesome!!

    A little robin

    and a couple canoes

A very fine set of photos you are showing here. My favourites are Nr. 1, 2 and 5. Luckily the bear does not look very threatening ;-).

What a really nice set. At 250mm that bear looks waaayyy too close but you got a great shot.

Very cool set. I think I like them all. Not sure you'd get me hiking up a hill alone to see a wild bear. I'd take Iggy with me ... that way I don't have to outrun the bear ... and I reckon I can outrun Iggy

I agree. I think I would want to use HBG's 600mm at least.

Very nice set Jude. I like every one for different reasons. Looks like you had a wonderful vacation.
Gotta agree, you must have been quite close to the bear????
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
