    Default The Storms Reward

Had a good ole GA summer thunder storm roll through during the Boy Scout meeting tonight but was headed out of town by the time we were done. Going up the road I figured the light from the sunset was starting to look pretty nice so I booked it to about the only clear spot to get a nice view of the landscape near me. Even the two 13 year olds I had with me enjoyed the show.

The buildings are part of North GA College and the steeple is covered with local gold. I just wish I could have been a bit higher or lower so it would be a different level than the mountains.

That sky is just amazing. Very well seen and captured Lizardqing.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Spectacular sky, and love the haze below the ridgeline! Almost makes me wish the photo didn't have any buildings in it (the whites on the buildings are distractingly purple, by the way).

    Thanks again.

Yea that purple with the big tarp bugged the hell out of me. That and the job trailer in front of the building with the trailer. Irritated em that I finally got the shot I had been chasing for years and it happens when they have a bunch of construction going on. I did though remove them in another version that I think makes the buildings more fitting. I know I would like it with or without the buildings, those are all landmarks here and have been for well over 100 years. It's pretty much the first thing you see coming over the mountain into town.
