Default Falls, falls and more falls

so my good friend Melissa has not come down to my part of the state for a photo meet up and when I said I was going to do some falls scouting and shooting, she said she'd drive down. All the falls down in this one little area are close together and wicked easy to get to (15 minute walks or less from a car park). Starting at about 6:30, we hit three before 11. Sweet.

You've probably all seen them before, but here I go again.

Senter falls has 3 cascades in all. This is by far the largest -

This is the lowest section which I'd never shot well. This isn't quite what I was after, but the water was fast, deep and this was as far in as I could get without getting wet feet. Given how deep and fast it was though, I don't know if the tripod would have been steady enough to get the shot, so I didn't bother. Almost frigging broke my ankle between a couple of boulders and a log anyway.

This is Tucker falls again. A much shot local marvel and this is a very traditional view of it. Just to be contrary, I left my tripod up high all morning while Melissa used her gorillapod down low. It was fun.

the third falls we went to was lower Purgatory, but I'm not happy with my shots from there, so I'm not sharing.

anyway...that's it for now. I did shoot some mill remnants on Tucker brook so will post those when I finish processing.

Oh, number 2 for me, quite easily. The foreground with the floating leaves is lovely, and it has a great depth to it. Can you eke a bit more detail out of the whitewater?

I also like the swirls in the water in 3, but I kinda wish the tree trunk wasn't so prominent.

Edit: Whoops, just noticed you don't have the 'critique me' thing checked.

    thanks guys.
no worries thoughton. let me see if I can mess with it. I didn't use the local adjustment brush at all on these, so it might stand a bit of a dusting. And that tree is a fixture...it's in everyone's shot of these falls. we can all tell how far over across the brook people got. Like I have some in winter from the opposite bank while sitting on a downed tree that goes partway out into the stream. It's funny.
