This is a discussion on Backlit within the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I don't know what you call these these but I like the way they were backlit by the sun...

I don't know what they are either but I really like them too. I see them around here so I'll have to get some for my garden. I like the backlighting and the flare.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.

Thanks Bambi, XPWizard and Aub. No they weren't frosty. This was late in the day and it was +8C. Funny thing was I only took one picture of this. There was so much dynamic range I didn't think it would turn out at all. I managed to pull out this much in Lightroom.

Very nice lighting through the Reed Grass Asnow, and Bambi, make sure you "really" want this as it is extremely invasive. It spreads its roots wildly, and reproduces this way, up to 30 ft in each direction from the main root. Believe me, took forever to keep it under control at our other place once it got ahold.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
