    Default Minnehaha Falls

Got to swing by this one a couple of days ago and luckily caught it with the fall colors still showing strong. This is a great waterfall and I am really wanting to get back to it when it has normal flow coming down it.

You sure do love water LQ! lol.
Nice set; i like both but favour shot 1 here. I dare say you could get the lower part of that image to sing much louder with some dodge play in the water's highlights.

funny Marko should mention all the waterfall shots....I've been thinking the same thing....and I'm jealous! We don't get much like that around here.

Thanks guys. I am fortunate in living in an area where they are abundant. I've set out on a personal project to photograph as many of them in at least Georgia as I can, still have plenty more to get to. the main reason has been to put together a book for my grandmother for Christmas since she is not able to make the journey to most of them anymore I figure I would bring them to her. Just so happens that I can also bring them to others that can't make it to them either! Plus I just love shooting water, one of the great things is you can take a bunch shots in burst mode and the mood can be different in every one as the water changes it's flow over the rocks.

Thanks for the dodging tip Marko, I'll give it a try when I get a chance.

You are sure the master at photographing falls. I'm sure your grandmother is going to love that book. I know I apprecialte you showing them to us.
I think I prefer number 1 as the portrait view give a better sense of height.

I love those autumn colours and glow! Autumn just decorates the falls beautifully. Nice work Lizard!
