    Default Crystal Panes

    This image of ice crystals on a window pane was taken on a day when the temperature was 1 degree (F) outside. In side the garage it was a balmy 15 degrees. I used my standard 18-55mm lens mounted on a slide focus rail. This has been cropped to show about 25% of the original image.

    Thanks for the help. It still didn't load correctly but I managed to upload it from Manage Attachments.

    Glad you like the image. You probably don't see a lot of frozen windows in Baton Rouge.

    Well spotted and captured.
    It looks like frost covered ferns. Interesting how nature repeats this pattern in totally different ways. I remember reading something about this being related to chaos theory...but not much more than that
