    Default Venus transits the Plieades

Astronomy is one of my other hobbies, and last night was the best time (Venus was actually in front of the Plieades ) to see Venus and the star cluster known as the Plieades, also known Asa the seven sisters, together in the sky. I didn't have enough time to actually set up my tracking mount so my exposures were limited to only two seconds to avoid trailing the stars in the cluster....

...fun fact-the term 'Subaru' is a Japanese word referencing the Plieades star cluster, hence the logo f the Japanese car manufacturer....

Exposure was 2 seconds at ISO 1600. I used a small spotting scope that equates to 400mm, but I am unsure of the f/stop....I will check when I get home from work...

    Thank you for the comments!

Glad to see you got a shot on the best day. Nice shot. Unfortunately, it was completely overcast here. Even though Venus is moving away from the cluster each day, I'd encourage everyone to get their binoculars out and take a look.
