Not bad at all for a first attempt! Making that water look milky is fun, isn't it?
Nice shot! Although, to exaggerate the height a bit, I think a wider angle , set lower to the ground, and turned to portrait mode, would have a bit more impact.
I absolutely love shots like these, do you have any more?
Keep an eye on that 'Tools of the Trade' project thread in the assignments forum...I try to add new pictures often!

dig how you composed the rock "frame" - well done

    Thanks Justin, Ed and Vyeko.

Justin - I agree a lower perspective would have been better, however this is from a viewing platform. I wasn't into rock climbing in order to get that lower perspective.
Ed - I did try to use the rock to frame it.
Vyeko - It was a difficult exposure. Lots of dynamic range between the falls and the dark rock on right. I did the best I could to bring this out in Lightroom.

I think I like the horizonal play of water as much as the vertical. Nice!

This is an excellent waterfall shot. I really like your composition.

Like the others I like this. I am intrigued by the water trails at the extreme bottom right. These could have made a subject too.
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos

Well done. I tried to get a shot there in the fall and there had to be 100 people milling about.
