studies of an iceburg

I am in St. John's Newfoundland for a conference. I heard that there was an iceburg in Qidi Vidi cove so I hiked over to see it. It was so cool. It looked like a giant seamonster to me.

I really like this set of images. You've managed to capture a lot of detail in the ice. My favourite is the second one ('iceburg 1) - nice composition (the clouds add a lot, I think). For the last shot, it's too bad you couldn't get someone standing on the berg to give it a sense of scale - yeah, right!

Very interesting. Using the buildings to gauge the scale of the iceberg, it is massive.

Nice set bambi - I love iceburgs as well. If you are in NFLD for a few more days and want even more more burgs, Twillingate is known for them.
