    Default Alberta Prairie Landscapes

    Made use of the long weekend to try out my new (used) Tokina 12-24 f4. I really like the lens, and since I was looking for a wide angle, that is the one I finally decided on (the eBay @ $320.00 price was right!!!!). It is a wonderfully sharp lens, and I do not miss the 4 extra millimeters the Sigma would have given me. I like the fact that I can use a polarizer on the lens, which really comes in handy with the Alberta sky .... first one is a panorama, with the large size to be found here:



    and this is just a simple single frame one of the same scene. Both were shot @ 12mm

    That lens gave you very nice results. I just recently bought the canon 12-22 (@$820). Thinking now I should have saved money and bought the Tokina.

    Another vote for #2. Beautiful sky and the luscious green land. Also like the addition of the little pond. Well done.
