East MacDonnell Ranges

I am just back from holidays in the "Red Centre" of Australia. The area is very scenic and I took heaps of shots. The weather was sunny every day which was lovely for the holiday, but the shadows presented some challenges for photography, given that the landscape is largely gorges and cliffs etc. These shots are from the first day in the East MacDonnell Ranges.

Really like that last one with the reflective pool in the foreground RM. Looks like some difficult midday light to shoot in.

Yes the shadows were difficult for the whole trip. I have experimented with some 3 image HDR, but I am on a steep learning curve with that. I am glad though that I shot RAW as I have been able to rescue quite a bit of detail.
