These things are like nine feet tall! These sunflowers are growing in my mom's garden. For a couple of years now, they have been growing there, but the funny thing is, she never planted sunflower seeds.....

This is a two shot HDR using true HDR app on my iPad, as well as some saturation, ambiance, white balance, and contrast adjustments using Nik software's Snapseed app.

I like the sun shining though the petals. The lens flare, ghosting of the petals, bright sun along with the angle of the composition gives it a surreal feel for me that is interesting.
