I had mixed feelings about this one, but after a positive comment on Flickr, I thought I would post it here to see what everyone else thinks

Such an interesting picture. it makes one think about the shot. At first glance, I thought you were above the clouds, but quickly realized that that is not the case. It looks like you are standing on the shore with breaking waves, but still enough mystery to second-guess oneself.

Randitola, your first instinct is correct - It was taken from a plane. It is a 3 exposure HDR with some colour toning applied. I too think it looks like the ocean foam on the beach.
