Cottonwood and Ferns

I was passing by Lake Mattamuskeet in North Carolina back last May when the fluffy white seeds of the Cottonwood trees were thick in the air. Here's a little that had fallen to rest amongst some young ferns. I hope to get back in December when the Tundra swans are there.
