Default Sugarin' time - Norwich, VT

My wife and I went up to Vermont for a weekend a couple of weeks back. Hard to think of New England this time of year without conjuring up images of the ol' buckets collecting sap for maple syrup. As an aside, I gave sugarin' a shot this year, although my backyard operation is decidedly less picturesque than what I saw in Vermont.

    taffy and Barefoot like this.

Cool, Jason. A challenging shot to compose and it looks like you did fairly well to get all the appropriate bits in there. I am interested in that white ball in the bottom centre though... it doesn't look like snow. Any idea?

Thanks, Iggy. I have to admit, I'm clueless about the white ball. Seems too perfectly round to be snow. I've zoomed in as far as I can and still have no idea.

No worries. I'm guessing you have a few other views of this building? I'd be interested to see what the other side looked like. I see an open field to the left and a valley to the right.

This is really the only side of the building that I got. I actually shot this from my car. I had my two-year old son with me, so as is often the case, I was pretty limited in how much I could get out and explore. It was quite a valley to the right--very steep after a while.

Nicely done, and like the pp here Jason.
We used to boil down sap every year on our other property until moving to the land of no Maples. :(
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
