I like the soft focus look of number 2 a lot better.

I just noticed the bright spot above the roses, reflection off the background on #1. I will fix that tonight when I get home.

I wish the front flower was not out of focus in number one. That one is my favourite as the reds are blown in number two and that doesn't work for me very well. Number one has lovely tones and exposure but that front blurry flower is nagging at me. Excellent studio type work though.

Either put all the flowers in roughly the same plane or at the very least take one with the focus on the one in front. I don't mind if the focus fades away but having the one in front out of focus is very disconcerting to me.

Nice one AT . I generally prefer the 1st one but am with Iggy on preferring to see the front rose in focus. I prefer the light on the vase in the second shot as you have captured a bit more detail in the reflected light. This would be quite a diffcult subject to shoot IMO.

I just spotted these on Flickr and they look great on the black background of Flickr (if others havent already done, so I suggest clicking on AT's flickr link under the photo and view it there).
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos
